This was the first Chinese new year since Emma was born. We took her and visited relatives and friends during the holiday. Every relative and friend likes her very much. Little Emma also got a lot of "yasuiqian"(money given to children as a lunar New Year gift) from them. Emma seemed to be happy when she grasped the red paper containing money as a gift although she totally didn't know what it was.
To practice Emma's neck and arms, we turned her over on the bed, tried to catch her attention in front of her. Emma attempted to prop up her head with her arms so that she could look at us. But infant neck is very tender and weak, it almost could not bear her big head. To the best of her ability, Emma eventually could raise her head and look at us curiously.
Afterwards Emma takes the exercise every day. Now she does much better than first time. When she raises her head and opened her eyes widely, I always can't help kissing her tender forehead and cheek.
Emma is one month old, her appearance is much different from when she was born one month ago.
Post two photos of one month here ;)

After resting and being observed for several days, Emma and her mother was going back home. I arrived at hospital very early that morning to take them home. The hospital was not far from home, we got back home after 1 hour later.
At home, I put Emma on my lap so that I can amuses her. Stare at her, I couldn't help kissing her lovely face. She was so cute that I even want to hold her forever.
One of my colleagues said that Emma must be a pretty girl hereafter since she had big eyes and pointed chin after she saw the photo.
My baby, Emma, was born on August 27th 2009. She was 3860g (8.5pound) weight and 53cm (1.74feet) long when she was born. Absolutely she was a big baby. I think it's due to the gene from her tall father :).
I didn't know whether the baby was girl baby or boy baby when she was in mama's belly, and I was not willing to know that as well. Let it just be a surprise to the family and me. That's cool feeling to me.
It took more than 5 hours in delivery room before the birth. The exprience was so suffering that my wife almost could not bear it even though I accompanied her all the time. Only when you experience this, you will surely come to realize that mothers are so great.
Emma, it's your turn. Live a happy life with the family. I love you.
